Out-of-State Softball Tournaments: Are They Worth It?

Updated October 2026

National travel softball tournaments, like Triple Crown’s Colorado Sparkler or PGF Nationals, draw big crowds of college coaches. They also draw big bills. Between hotel nights, flights or a long drive, food and gate fees, one out-of-state trip often costs a family $1,000 to $1,500 or more. For the right player, it’s the best exposure money can buy. For the wrong one, it’s a summer vacation with a radar gun.
